SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES ANNOUNCE HALLOWEEN RELEASE
All Souls is a seasonally themed collection of classics & rarities curated by Siouxsie Sioux and remastered at Abbey Road. All Souls was released initially digitally and as an LP in Autumn 2022. It will be released on October 31st as a very limited edition, Japanese paper sleeve, mini-LP replica CD in a cardboard sleeve with an Obi strip, it will be limited to 3000 copies worldwide.
All Souls is a collection of singles, B-sides and album tracks pulled from the more macabre regions of their songwriting and conceived as a seasonal compilation “to celebrate the autumn equinox and its festivities”.
All Souls is a personal collection opening with 1982’s ‘Fireworks’, one of three iconic singles featured here, alongside ‘Spellbound’ (used to end Stranger Things Season 4) and closing with the mesmerising ‘Peek-A-Boo’. Also included is ‘Halloween’ from the band’s classic Juju album mixed with more idiosyncratic tracks such as ‘El Dia De Los Muertos’, a B-side from the ‘Last Beat Of My Heart’ single, ‘Something Wicked (This Way Comes)’ from the single of ‘The Killing Jar’ and ‘Supernatural Thing’ from 1981’s ‘Arabian Knights’ single.
The collection features new and unique artwork directed by Siouxsie, which features a marigold —the symbolic flower of the Mexican Day of the Dead/All Souls Day festivities.
