DURAN DURAN – DANSE MACABRE DE LUXE
Duran Duran have announced the release of a new edition of their 2023 album Danse Macabre, a release that Blitzed described as an album “…surpassing expectations with its mixture of vibrant, musically impressive new material and covers that go above and beyond the concept of simply doing justice to the originals.”
Danse Macabre De Luxe includes the original album tracks as well as three new bonus tracks: an instrumental ‘Masque of the Pink Death’, a cover of ELO’s ‘Evil Woman’ and ‘New Moon (Dark Phase)’ featuring Andy Taylor which is a reimagined cover of their classic song ‘New Moon On Monday’ from their classic 1983 album Seven and The Ragged Tiger.
As well as a CD and digital release, this edition will also be released as a limited-edition box set which includes 3 LP’s – the original 13 track 2LP Danse Macabre release and a bonus LP featuring 7 new tracks. Exquisitely packaged, the record features images adapted from a collection of authentic vintage séance photos that band member Nick Rhodes sourced at auction. The Halloween inspired box also includes a spirit board, metal planchette, bespoke tarot cards, 4 art prints, and a booklet.
