JOHNNY MARR ANNOUNCES SOLO HEADLINE SHOW
Johnny Marr has announced his biggest-ever solo headline show, scheduled for London’s OVO Arena Wembley on 24th October 2026.
The OVO Arena Wembley show will be Johnny Marr’s first headline gig in the capital since his spectacular sold-out performance at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2024. Johnny kicked off 2026 in the USA with his sold out California Calling Tour, where fans were treated to a set of hits, classics and brand new and unreleased music. Landing back in the UK, Johnny recently joined Pet Shop Boys for a surprise performance at the Electric Ballroom.
Johnny Marr began his prolific career with The Smiths, emerging as one of the most influential songwriters and guitarists in British independent music. Since launching in 2013, his acclaimed solo career has given rise to five UK Top Ten albums – The Messenger (2013), Playland (2014), Call The Comet (2018), Fever Dreams Pts 1-4 (2022), Spirit Power: The Best Of Johnny Marr (2023) – and a career-spanning book, Marr’s Guitars (published via Thames & Hudson).
Johnny’s solo career has also seen him collaborate with some of the most celebrated artists in contemporary music, including the Talking Heads, Pretenders, Electronic, Modest Mouse, The Cribs, The Avalanches, Gorillaz, Hans Zimmer and Billie Eilish, recently recording the score and Oscar-nominated title track for the latest James Bond film, No Time To Die.
Johnny’s first UK headline show of 2026 will see a huge homecoming gig at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl in July with support from Everything Everything, with the last few remaining tickets available here. Headline dates and festivals across Europe, including Belgium’s Live is Live with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will follow, with more news soon to be announced.
Tickets for Johnny Marr live at Wembley Arena on Saturday 24th October 2026 are on sale from 1st May: http://aegp.uk/JM26
