NOUVELLE VAGUE ANNOUNCE A DATE WITH DEPECHE MODE
Nouvelle Vague, the acclaimed bossa nova outfit, are on track to return in 2027 with A Date with Depeche Mode, reworking some of the synth-pop band’s classic songs with the unmistakable Nouvelle Vague twist.
The French music collective, founded by Marc Collin alongside the late Olivier Libaux, have enjoyed a career crafting distinctive cover versions which has previously included songs by New Order, Yazoo, The Clash, Joy Division, Tuxedomoon, The Cure and The Undertones.
Nouvelle Vague have a rotating cast of talented female vocalists, including the likes of Camille, Elodie Frege, Melanie Pain and Phoebe Kildeer. They have also collaborated with guest musicians such as American actress and singer Juliette Lewis, Vanessa Paradis, Depeche Mode’s Martin Gore, Ian McCulloch from Echo and the Bunnymen, Terry Hall and more.
The outfit are no strangers to the world of Depeche Mode, having covered songs such as ‘Just Can’t Get Enough’ and ‘Master and Servant’ previously, but the new album will be exclusively focussed on Mode material. Nouvelle Vague will also be embarking on a UK tour in 2027 with dates scheduled for March.
