BRONSKI BEAT CELEBRATE 40TH ANNIVERSARY OF TRUTHDARE DOUBLEDARE
To mark its 40th Anniversary, this July sees a reissue of Bronski Beat’s second studio album, Truthdare Doubledare. Originally released in 1986, it was the band’s first album to feature John Foster as lead vocalist, following the departure of Jimmy Somerville.The album featured the singles ‘Hit That Perfect Beat’ and ‘C’mon! C’mon!’. It peaked at No. 18 in the UK album charts.
Expanded across CD, LP & Digital editions, this anniversary reissue of Truthdare Doubledare brings a full audio remaster, new remixes from the likes of I. JORDAN and Ted Carfrae plus unreleased studio and live recordings. It also features sleeve notes by John Foster and updated artwork with rare and unseen photos.
The album will be issued as a 1CD release as well as an expanded 3CD edition, a purple vinyl variant and a vinyl picture disc. As well as the original album, the expanded edition includes B-sides and rarities, live versions and a BBC Radio 1 session.
Truthdare Doubledare will be released on 3 July 2026 via London Records.
